"During my internship with the symphony I learned valuable on-site skills that I could have never learned in a classroom. The staff shared their knowledge and insight with me which allowed me to get a great look at how a symphony operates. My time spent as an intern with the CRSO has been one of the highlights of my college career. I couldn't have asked for a better experience."
-- Shannon Eres, CRSO Intern
"(I like volunteering for the CRSO) because we get to do more socializing among ourselves. Sometimes it is the only time we talk to one another, believe it or not. We gain and the Symphony gains."
-- Marge McChristy, CRSO Volunteer
The Cedar Rapids Symphony is always in need of enthusiastic volunteers! Whether you're a seventh grader or a septuagenarian, we've got a job to suit you. Past volunteers have served as ushers at concerts, receptionists in our office and have helped with mailings, filing, shredding and other office work. The CRSO also offers unpaid internships to talented individuals looking to gain experience in the music administration.
If you're looking for a rewarding volunteer or internship opportunity with an esteemed community establishment, please call the Cedar Rapids Symphony office at (319) 366-8206.
