About the CRSS

Cedar Rapids Symphony School The Cedar Rapids Symphony School (CRSS) was established in 1986 to provide high quality string instruction to young music students in the greater Cedar Rapids area. Since then, the CRSS has expanded to include many facets of music education including early childhood programs, choral and instrumental ensembles, chamber ensembles and individual instruction on nearly all instruments for all ages. The CRSS faculty is made up of many of Eastern Iowa's most gifted educators, including Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra (CRSO) musicians, current and retired area public school teachers as well as regional university and college professors. For more information on the CRSS, please visit our Web site at www.crsymphony.org.

The National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts has certified the CRSS as exemplifying the highest standards of excellence and access in community arts education. For more information on the Guild, please visit their Web site at .
